About Us

Zachary Holliday decided to start a Pro-Development Club in 2020. Desert Futbol Club started it's innaugural season with a women's team. Those player's were from various colleges around the country. 

After that first season with Desert Futbol Club women's team Zach decided to start a men's team in the spring of 2021. In the fall of 2022 was the best season yet as Zach took Desert Futbol Club to the Lamar Hunt US OpenCup. 

Zach has been in the Club Soccer community for over 25 years. Participating in the high level of Club Soccer with his daughter Kaci Holliday. 

Now Zach wants to bring his experience to the Coachella Valley with Desert Futbol Club participating in a Pro-Development League. The UPSL is the largest Pro-Develoment League in North America.

 The league occupies the 4th tier of the US Soccer pyramid, just below the three professional tiers, in the pyramid. With a participant average age of 22.5 years, the OSA league fills and brings structure to the large gap that exists between the youth game and the professional game, serving millions of aspiring players and coaches as they strive to further their aspirations and fuel their passions. 

 The mission is to provide a strong and consistent platform that provides opportunity and projects from the grassroots of the game advancing to the highest levels. OSA clubs are eligible to compete in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the league’s affiliationwith the U.S.. Soccer Federation (USSF). An organization dedicated to the  success of its members; the OSA is focused on raising the minimum standards throughout all levels of the sport. In doing so, the league aspires to bring international exposure to the talent in local communities throughout North America. 

 As a modern and socially responsible private soccer association, the OSA continues to evolve by utilizing technology to uplift the sport in every facet of society.
